Just Me and My Shadow

In Somewhere-in-the-Middle-of-the-USA it’s as if Mother Nature has grown tired of winter in her old age and dreams of being able to spend her winters somewhere warmer.  I say that, because it’s mid-January and we have yet to see more than a day or two of below-freezing temperatures or more than a dusting of snow.

While the wind was whipping along at a fair clip today, it was sunny and in the low 60s so my youngest and I took a long walk outside.  I loved following behind her as she chattered away about how her shadow changed along our walk beside the lake.

  1. It’s the same here in Oregon. I have high hopes for later this week bringing us a little snow though. Crazy!
