Monkey See, Monkey Do
I had an amazing Sunday spending another unseasonably warm, gorgeous day outside with my camera. At one point, when I quickly pulled over and billy goated up a hill to capture a barn that caught my eye, my son signed, rolled his eyes and told his sister, “Mom is going to be known around town as the crazy woman with a camera.”
Later that evening, as we headed out on an evening walk in our neighborhood, my youngest daughter asked if she could bring an old Sony Cybershot camera with her so she could also take some photos.
American Girl doll in the stroller, camera in hand, Sofia is ready for an evening walk. (There was a smudge on my lens I didn’t see until too late, but I wanted to share this photo despite its flaw.)
The stroller was quickly passed on to Mom to manage, and my mini shutterbug was busy snapping pictures of whatever caught her eye.
As we vetted our walking options tonight — trail walk or stay in the neighborhood — my mini shutterbug said, “Let’s go on a trail walk because I want to photograph something beautiful, like a bridge.” And so she did.
She also wanted to leave the beaten path and get closer to the water. I love the expression of concentration on her face in this photo.
It’s going to be fun to download all of her photographs and look at the images together.
