Giddy Up!

I’ve mentioned before that my other half grew up on a ranch in Montana.  Along with all of the cows, there were a few horses.  What he has in skill as an accomplished rider I have in admiration for these magnificent creatures.  Here are a few photos of horses taken during the month of April that I wanted to share.

What’s your favorite?

Horse Photo #1.  This white horse posed in front of his white shed when I pulled over to snap his pic near Lawson, Missouri.

Horse Photo #2.  These horses were grazing in a pasture near Lake Lenexa.  I had to shoot from quite a distance and I wish the front horse was a little more in focus. Or that I was better able to capture the bird by his feet.

Horse Photo #3.  This black beauty lives less than a mile from my home and immediately walked over to me when I pulled over to say hello.

Horse Photo #4.  This beautiful creature roams in a pasture that runs along a decent portion of the Mill Creek Trail.  He must be used to being fed by the general public, because he followed me the entire way that he could as I walked.

Horse Photo #5.  These horses were grazing in the pasture in front of a farm house when I drove by on our way back from Lawrence, Kansas on Easter Sunday.
