There are two sculptures titled “Eagle” in Kansas City.  This is the one located on Ward Parkway at 67th St.  The bronze, 2,000 pound piece is over two centuries old and once stood in the courtyard of the Japanese Embassy and was displayed at their exhibit at the St. Louis World’s Fair in 1903.  It was purchased and later presented to Kansas City by the Nichols family in 1935.
