Big Debut
My three dancers have their recital this weekend which means tonight was dress rehearsal. I snapped this shot of some of the younger dancers, in their sparkles and tulle, preparing to go on stage. While you can’t see their faces, and this shot isn’t as clear or crisp as I’d have liked, I feel like you can still get a sense of their excitement and a touch of stage jitters as they hold hands, the back stage door opens, and they move toward it.
What do you think?

lovely dress 🙂
Aren’t they? My youngest isn’t in this group, but you can imagine how little three- and four-year-olds dig the purple and pink with sparkles! 🙂
How sweet!
There are few things cuter than “baby” ballerinas. Okay, I know the little ladies in this shot are wearing tap shoes, but I hope you get what I mean.
And on stage, they are just too awesome…
We are all encouraged to show our support of the dancers throughout the recital. As one group of the youngest dancers took the stage last night, just before the spotlight hit them, one of the dads yelled out, “I love you Gracie!” (very common) except little Gracie replied, “I love you, too, Daddy!” and the crowd chuckled in response. It was adorable!
That’s sweet 🙂 I love it
This photo is exactly what I’m looking for in a blog I’m working on. I’d like permission to use it ‘one time only’ for a blog titled ‘With A Little Help From My Friends.’ I’ve been recovering from surgery and this will be my first blog after the surgery and this photo expresses exactly what I wish to convey. If you wish to check out my blog, you’ll find me at http://sheridegrom.com. You may e-mail your response to my request to: sheri@sherdegrom.com. Thank you so much.
Dear Sheri, I just sent you an e-mail about your request. Best regards, Sage.
