Behind the Stage

Fellow photo blogger, Kevin, has a great site called Behind the Lens where each of his posts start with “Behind the…” like “Behind the Flower.”  His post naming technique was all I could think of this weekend, a weekend that was spent predominantly behind the scenes at my daughters’ dance recital with performances Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday evening.  So with all credit due to Kevin, here are three shots taken “behind the stage” at the dance recitals.

Do you have a favorite?

Behind the Stage Photo #1.  My daughter in her new pointe shoes, warming up in the high school cafeteria near the back stage entrance.

Behind the Stage Photo #2.  The dancers line up from oldest to youngest for the final curtain call.

Behind the Stage Photo #3.  A closer view at the youngest ballerinas waiting for their final bow.

  3. Thank you so much for mentioning my blog. I’m blushing :”> There’s always a story behind the photo. My pick out of the three is number 2. I like the depth and the selective coloring. Great idea.

    • I JUST left a note on your About page giving you a “heads up” about the “shout out.” I meant to do it last night but fell asleep.

Thanks for visiting and sharing your thoughts on the post. I know you have three boys and may not spend as much time at dance recitals as I do, but aren’t those “baby” ballerinas too darn cute?!?!? I loved how l-o-n-g the line was as they waited for the grand finale.
