Permanent Paw Print
My dog Ben is a svelte 125 pounds. I know a lot of dogs are bigger than he is, but he is a Golden Retriever, and they don’t come much bigger than Ben. When our vet first met Ben and said, “Wow! That’s the biggest Golden I’ve ever seen!” you know it’s a big deal because she’s probably seen 100 a day, every day, over the course of her career.
While Ben is big in size, he’s one of the biggest chickens I’ve ever seen. And, he thinks he’s a lap dog. (See the bonus photo of Ben and my son from a few years ago below.)
Anyway, about the photo…
On a sidewalk near a friend’s house, permanently set into the concrete, is a set of BIG dog paw prints. While they were not caused by my 125 pound “lap dog” they do make me smile and think of him every time I walk past them.
Permanent Paw Print. A huge doggy foot permanently placed in the sidewalk.
Bonus Pic. Ben, our 125 pound “lap dog” sitting pretty on my then ten-year-old son a few years ago.

You find the best shots. The paw print shot is nicely done. Great capture!
Thanks so much, Kevin! A friend who is also doing a 365 Project this year and I joke about how much we see now that we have our cameras with us at all times. I think it’s so true! You DO see the world more completely!
You make ordinary things into art. (I forgot to mention that :)) I clicked the photo to see the detail of the inprint which was superb.
Wow! Kevin, you have totally made my day!
What a cool dog!
We love our “little” lap dog! 🙂
Oh my goodness! Yep that’s the biggest golden retriever I’ve ever seen as well lol! I love the footprint in the sand 🙂 Super sweet. Oh and doesn’t it seem like the biggest dogs are the most chicken sometimes? HAHA We’ve had a few of those 😛
Yes, I agree there may be a trend. Big dog = big chicken!
LOL true that 😛
Oh, i’ve got big hearts in my eyes for this post!
