Leaf
“How beautiful the leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days.”

While the kids swam tonight, I pulled some weeds around the pool and came across this cool, old, dry, beetle-munched morning glory leaf.

That’s pretty cool!
Thanks! Except for the part that the Japanese beetles which are apparently what’s eating my morning glories mean that moles are close behind… Eeeeeek! Sounds like a home owner’s nightmare!
They ate it in a very pretty pattern. Moles? Uh-oh. That can’t be good.
Yeah, I’m a little worried. They tend to be an issue in our neighborhood.
How lovely! It looks like a precious metal filigree brooch!
I’m glad you think so! While I couldn’t articulate it so well, that’s kind of what I thought when I came across it and wanted to take it’s picture! 🙂
It looks to me as though you’ve found a leaf skeleton. Very cool.
Oooo love it when I find one of those that isn’t broken! haha!
This is a nice blog!
