July Flowers

Despite a substantial drought here Somewhere-in-the-Middle-of-the-USA, I was still able to capture many flowers throughout the month of July.  Here are some of my favorites…

What do you think?  Do you have a favorite below?  Am I getting any of the names right?!?!

July Flower Photo #1.  Close-up of a coneflower.  I love coneflowers!

July Flower Photo #2.  Water lily floating on Lake Lenexa.

July Flower Photo #3.  A beautiful flower on a prickly pear cactus on the trail at Lake Lenexa.

July Flower Photo #4.  This large, sunflower-like flower was red, not yellow.  And it looked awesome in the evening light by Sar-Ko-Par Park Lake.

July Flower Photo #5.  I usually plant zinnias in the middle of my vegetable garden, but that didn’t happen this year.  This pretty pink zinnia is from another vegetable garden I saw on a walk.

  1. I am loving your flower shots recently, they’re wonderful! The first shot is my favorite, so sharp and a great angle.

  2. My favourite is no 5 because of the colour, but they are all lovely. 🙂
