Walk at Ironwoods Park
I am still trying to get the rest of the photos I took in July up on the site so I can fully embrace all that is August. Here are some shots I wanted to share from a recent walk at Ironwoods Park after a disappointing early morning attempt to shoot a barn.
What do you think? Do you have a favorite below?
Ironwoods Park Photo #1. A rock stairway to heaven up to the main trail.
Ironwoods Park Photo #2. A serene spot, despite the low water level due to the drought.
Ironwoods Park Photo #3. Some cool looking plant that’s gone to seed.
Ironwoods Park Photo #4. Some cool looking plant that’s about to burst open. Or so I think.
Ironwoods Park Photo #5. Hanging on in the breeze.
Ironwoods Park Photo #6. A bird ready to start another day at Ironwoods Park. Does anyone know what this is? I thought it might be a female blue jay. That’s my best guess.

Hard to pick a favorite since I enjoyed them all. I really like the staircase one since it leads to adventure.
Thanks, TBM! I almost didn’t include that shot, so I’m thrilled that you and a few other visitors picked it as a fav.
Although they are all great, my fav is definitely the steps. Fantastic!!
Thanks, Loony! I almost didn’t include that shot on the blog, so I’m so glad that you and a few other visitors really liked it!
My favorite is also the staircase!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your comment!
They are all great images, but my favourite would be Ironwoods Park Photo #5 – Hanging on in the breeze. I love the limited warm colours and the use of limited depth of field. And the best is really how you placed the dragonfly all over in the upper left corner. Great composition.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and sharing your thoughts, Munchow! I appreciate your encouragement and feedback!
Looks like a delightfully restful place.
Thanks, Mona! It was a really fun “find” to stumble upon.
What a wonderful series. Looks so peaceful and lovely. 🙂
Thanks, Inga!
Wow out of all of those I think I was most amazed at how big the dragonfly is! I don’t see them too often out here on the west coast, and if we do they aren’t that detailed lol! I love it 🙂
I am LOVING all the dragonflies this summer and have had such good luck capturing them! Thanks for always encouraging me and sharing your comments, Wanna Be!
Always here 😀
Love the first one!
Thanks!
