Down by the Kaw
The Kansas River, also known as the Kaw, runs horizontally through the eastern part of Kansas and meets the Missouri River in the riverfront area of Kansas City. I recently discovered how to get down close to the Kaw near I-435 and captured this image from the north side of the river close to sunset. Unfortunately, you can see how low the river is by the dry banks across the water.
