Deer at Lake Lenexa
I was in such a hurry to take Randy Roberts up on his kind offer to look at this deer pic the other day that I overlooked posting these photos taken a few days earlier. Since these were taken before I got all the great feedback from all of you, I haven’t had a chance to put those tips into practice just yet. I tried, but on tonight’s evening walk at Lake Lenexa a high school cross-country team was out running the trail and that seemed to be enough activity to keep the deer at bay.
How did I do on this set? Do you have a favorite below?
Deer at Lake Lenexa Photo #1. These ladies were completely content to just hang out in the dry, drought-inflicted grass and just watch me.
Deer at Lake Lenexa Photo #2. A similar scene as the one above, just a little different cropping.
Deer at Lake Lenexa Photo #3. This shot makes me think of the pushmi-pullyu from Dr. Doolittle. Who’s with me?
Deer at Lake Lenexa Photo #4. One last glance at the gal with the camera before bounding into the woods.

They look very curious! I like #1 the best. 🙂
Thanks, Lindy!
They were totally posing lol
I know, right? 🙂
I like the way you cropped the last three. I think I enjoy photographing deer more than other wildlife because they are either going to run or watch. Either way you get a chance at great photos. More…please.
Dear Randy, thanks for your encouragement! I am really looking forward to a chance to use the tips you gave me on my last post. I hope they take my shots to the next level!
