The extreme drought this summer seems to have driven away the wildlife.  While it used to be easy to take a walk around Lake Lenexa and find ducks, it’s grown harder and harder these past few months.  Nearly all of the creeks, streams, and smaller wetland areas are bone dry.  All of the larger bodies of water, including the Kansas River, are visibly lower.  That’s why it was such a treat to stumble upon this bunch of ducks.

  1. Hmmm I think I like the third one best 🙂 We are huge duck lovers in Oregon hahaha! Must be because of the Ducks College Football team lol
