Paris: Moulin Rouge

At the bottom of the hills of Montmartre is the Moulin Rouge, the cabaret that is considered to be the home to the can-can dance.  Also at the bottom of the hills of Montmartre is a big line of people waiting to get into the Moulin Rouge!

What do you think?  Any tips on getting good, clear shots at night, especially ones that don’t look grainy?

  1. Awesome! Reminds me of one of my favorite movies. 🙂 Tips for getting clear, less grainy shots would be to set up a tripod so you can use a slower shutter speed and lower the ISO. However, I realize carrying around a tripod isn’t always practical on vacation. Even if you can prop the camera on something that should help.

    • Good tips! I carried my tripod the first night and never used it. I forgot to take it with me all of the other nights. Ugh!

  2. AAAHHH!!! I’m so jealous you got to see the outside of that place! Loved the movie lol! Very cool though 🙂 The only way I’m able to get rid of the grain the way I want is to play with the noise settings in Lightroom

  3. Ah, unfortunately I am not the person to school anyone on the finer points of night (or day!) shots…but I do appreciate a great effort, and the lovely pics you put up on a consistent basis 🙂

I love hearing from you!
