One Thing, Three Ways: The Love Locks of Pont de Notre Dame
Love locks are padlocks affixed to a bridge or other public structure by lovers to symbolize their everlasting love. Along the Seine in Paris, the Pont de Notre Dame and Pont des Arts are two bridges peppered with these locks.

That is so sweet. I think I prefer the bottom one, as it shows the amount of padlocks there are
Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment, Alastair! I think the love locks are very romantic.
They are. Would be cool if they had them in different countries.
Oh, but they do! Italy, Russia, throughout Asia. See some of those pics and more details about the love locks here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_padlocks
Love that tree in Russia. Brilliant 🙂
I know, right?!?! We need to bring the trend home! 🙂
Too right 🙂
It would be great to have these love locks around the world. Unfortunately, in my little corner, you’d probably be arrested for defacing public property, or something.
And which “little corner” is that, Paul? 🙂
Not too far from the sinnest of cities. Or is that the sinningest? We sin here!
Las Vegas? Seems like the lock thing could work there…
What gave it away? And where could we start the lock collection? Maybe on the elevated walkways across the strip?
Hmmmmm…
I’m not super familiar with Las Vegas other than I’ve been there a few times and feel a big urge to get out after about 48 hours.
Maybe an artificial tree approach would make the most sense for locks of love in Vegas? Or perhaps the fake Eiffel Tower? 🙂
I’ve heard about the locks! That’s super cool 🙂
