Cergy: Window Box and Shutters
For those of you wondering if the Versailles posts would ever end, this is your day!
Cergy is a Parisian suburb about 20 miles northwest of the City that has grown rapidly in my lifetime, from roughly 3,000 inhabitants at the beginning of the 1970s to roughly 60,000 today. After a full day at Versailles and a drive through narrow, winding roads to our hotel in Cergy, we walked a few blocks from our hotel to the picturesque little port on the Oise River for dinner, passing stucco house after stucco house with blooming window boxes full of flowers and colorful shutters.
