Giverny: Houses in Town

Claude Monet’s home and gardens in Giverny, a charming French town of about 500 people in Normandy, is probably the most spectacular in town.  It’s certainly the most famous.  But there are many other lovely houses in Giverny.  Here are a few of my favorites as we walked from Monet’s house down to the church where he is buried and back.

What do you think?  Do you have a favorite below?

  1. Ok – no vines on the second house and too many vines on the third house, but the first house has the perfect combination of vines, flowers, and stones. So, definitely the first shot for me :).

  2. I was going to say the first or third. But after reading loony’s comment, I agree. Number 1.

  3. I also think the first one is the prettiest. I’m planning to take my mom to Europe next summer, and the gardens were one of the places we wanted to visit. It’s good to know there is more to see nearby!

    • A friend of mine was also there recently and found a gorgeous park nearby for a picnic lunch. Just in case that sounds fun for your trip. I hope you and your Mom have an awesome time!

  4. Those are adorable!! I want one lol

I love hearing from you!
