One thing I consistently loved about the chateaux I visited was the black and white flooring like in the Gallery at the Chateau de Chenonceau and this hallway at Versailles.  And so the formal dining room at the Chateau de Villandry did not disappoint!  The windows on the right side of the room offer a lovely view of the ornamental gardens.  In 1934, this room was listed as a historic monument.
