October Flowers
As I prepare myself for roughly four months of grey, dreary outdoor shots, here are a ridiculous number of flower shots from the Overland Park Arboretum and Lake Lenexa while there is still color outside.
What do you think? Do you have a favorite below?
October Flower Photo #1. Some sort of black-eyed susan type of flower at the Arboretum.
October Flower Photo #2. I don’t know what these tiny, white and pink flowers are called, but they are everywhere in the woods right now and are absolutely beautiful. In a weird way that I can’t really articulate, they remind me a bit of the edelweiss flower that grows in the Alps, but not fuzzy and with a pink center.
October Flower Photo #3. A prickly pear cactus at Lake Lenexa.
October Flower Photo #4. One of those yellow ladybug-looking bugs on some goldenrod by Lake Lenexa.
October Flower Photo #5. A red berry growing by Lake Lenexa. In trying to identify these berries, I only found others who had shot them and stated that they couldn’t determine what they were.
October Flower Photo #6. Yellow flowers just in front of Lake Lenexa.

The yellow one with the bug is my favourite of those 🙂
