London: Starbucks at the Tower of London
More proof that Starbucks is out to take over the world. There is one right outside Queen Elizabeth II’s home at Windsor Castle and one right through the gates of the Tower of London. If only I could find a latte right now as I sit here early in the morning in Paris waiting to fly home…

Can you imagine…..centuries ago…people locked up in the tower..if they only knew what the future held….a cup of coffee.
I know, right? In the 11th and 12th centuries, the folks building the oldest parts of the castle by hand could have never imagined what the 21st century would hold on the same grounds.
What was most (I’m not sure what word I want here) funny (?) was the street of shops RIGHT outside of the Queen’s residence in beautiful Windsor. Starbuck’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, McDonald’s, etc. It’s depressing. It’s funny. It’s bizarre. I’m sure the American chains are there because the tourists are there, but really? If you’re in England, go someplace English! 🙂
Their coffee is overrated… its too roasted in order for them to make the taste consistent worldwide!! But yeah they are EVERWHERE now!

I walked through there last weekend. Didn’t get a cup of coffee though.
How funny! I was there on Sunday, October 14th. Small world! 🙂 PS I didn’t get coffee, either.
That’s like the number 1 place I want to visit! I’m so excited and jealous that you’re in London lol
Don’t be TOO jealous. Our offices are 30 miles west of London which means it is a HUGE ordeal to get into the City and do much. This trip I only had Sunday afternoon in the City.
Oh wow! lol! That’s crazy, but I hope you still had fun 🙂 The photos are beautiful!
