One Thing, Three Ways: Windsor Castle
The Windsor Castle is a medieval castle set on 13 acres in the town of Windsor, about 30 miles west of London. The castle is the largest inhabited castle in the world and is the longest-occupied palace in Europe. More than 500 people live and work in Windsor Castle where Queen Elizabeth is increasingly in residence as opposed to Buckingham Palace.
While I would have loved to have seen the inside of the palace, my work demands didn’t allow me to make it to Windsor any night before they were closed for tours. I hope I can fit it in during an upcoming trip to London.
What do you think? Do you have a favorite shot below?
Windsor Castle Photo #1. View of the exterior walls of the castle from the town of Windsor.
Windsor Castle Photo #2. View of a portion of the castle wall and a portion of the town of Windsor walking away from the castle gate.
Windsor Castle Photo #3. I loved the way the setting sun washed a golden color on the castle wall as I headed back to the River Thames.

I love castles so there’s no way I can choose with these 🙂
That’s nice of you to say. I feel like all of them are a bit “blah.” What I really want to do is visit the INSIDE of the Windsor Castle some day. It was hard to get a really great shot with the two sides of the castle I had just a few minutes to walk along. Have you ever been inside the Windsor Castle?
They are really good shots. Unfortunately, that’s about how close I have got to WIndsor Castle as well 😦
Third one is my favorite.
My favorite is number three. Love the lighting!
Great shots! I like the light in the third one, but I find the composition in the first one a bit better.
AAAHHH I love these! The first one is so enchanting 😀
