From the top of l’Arc de Triomphe, I just wanted one really, really good shot of the Tour Eiffel, especially because I didn’t feel like I got one during my August trip there, even when up close.  It was way, way harder than I thought it would be.  Of course everyone wanted a similar shot so folks were bunched up in that spot on the observation deck.  There was another angle that worked well, but the gargoyles at the top of the arch were in the way.  Plus also, it was hard to hold the camera steady in my hand at that angle as the sun disappeared behind the horizon.

Here are my three favorite shots.  What do you think?  Do you have any advice for next time?  Do you have a favorite below?
