End-of-Life Wildflowers

While still enjoying all four seasons, I am lucky to live in a place where flowers can bloom outdoors at least eight months a year, from at least March to October.  Although I prefer the beauty of flowers in their prime, there was something about the way that these end-of-life wildflowers looked in the late afternoon sunlight that made me want to snap them anyway.
