Candle of Peace
Last night when I was practicing taking photos of candles, I did it with the happiness of the holidays, the promise of peace, and the hope for the new year ahead.
Sadly, I post a candle pic today with a heavy heart in honor of the adults and young children who lost their lives, the families who lost loved ones, and the community that will never be the same after today’s horrible, senseless elementary school shooting in Connecticut.
It seems too much for the human heart to process. Our love and light goes to the families of all victims.
I agree, Gina. It is simply heartbreaking and incomprehensible. My four kids have all just arrived home safely from school and it’s hard to fully describe how lucky I feel that I can hug them and tell them I love them.
I imagine there are millions of parents feeling very grateful right now and I’m glad yours are safe and sound. Stay blessed.
Yes. You, too!

Thank you, Gail. The situation is beyond tragic.
It was a hard and depressing time for everyone. This candle is very peaceful and fitting
To be honest, I still think about those children, teachers, their families, and that community nearly every waking minute of every day.
Such a horrible tragedy that affected us all.
