Rubik’s Cube
My son recently received a Rubik’s Cube in a holiday gift exchange with one of his after-school clubs. He is so excited to have this new toy that he reminds me a bit of our Golden Retriever. He “tosses” the Cube to one of us to mix it up for him. Then he “retrieves” it, solves the puzzle, and trots back to one of us to mix it up again.

Isn’t it funny how Rubik’s cubes are becoming popular again? I remember having one when I was a kid and now my 16 year old is totally obsessed with his. His fastest time is now 34 seconds! Ask your son if he has seen the youtube video of the kids solving a Rubik’s cube blindfolded. It is incredible!!!
Yes, I think it’s funny. Wow, 34 seconds? That’s amazing! When we had our Rubik’s cubes back during the original fad, I couldn’t solve one for anything, even with the code-breaking book out in front of me! I ultimately gave up and just peeled off and repositioned the stickers! I will ask Patrick about the blindfolded Rubik’s cube solver. He’d love to see that for sure!
