Running in the Snow

Last winter we had one small dusting of snow, a far cry from the several snow falls accumulating to several inches which is normal here Somewhere-in-the-Middle-of-the-USA.  Unfortunately, the unseasonably warm winter melted into an unseasonably dry spring delivering one of the worst droughts I’ve seen in the years I’ve lived here.  But things to be different this year.  On New Year’s Eve, we had our second snowfall of the season, already putting us above the total precipitation we had all last winter.

While the snow was still falling, my youngest put on her winter hat and gloves (but no coat) and started running across the front yard.  Her red coat and pink sweats stood out against the grey day, and I helped them do so a bit more with Photoshop after the fact.

  1. Mmm it’s hard to tell what her favorite color is… lol! Really cute! You live in a great area for snow shots!
