Starting to Freeze
After last week’s snow and freezing temperatures, this coming week is supposed to bring highs in the mid 40s. I hate the cold. Really, really HATE it. But last year’s mild winter was just weird. I’m excited to have our second snowfall of the year and for the temperatures to be winter-like. But I’ll also be thrilled beyond belief when spring is here in a few months.

Thanks, Alastair!
Such a gorgeous photo, but I’m with you. I absolutely hate the cold and can’t wait for Spring to arrive!!
And it’s probably a lot colder where you are, too. You probably recall that Better Half is from Montana. I’ve been “home” with him a few times in the winter. I can’t imagine the North Pole being any colder than there!
It’s -14 Celsius this morning, but it is supposed to warm up this week, so my fingers are crossed :).
O.M.G.!
Very nice! Like you, I’d like it to warm up a bit and melt the snow in the valley. Keep it in the mountains for the skiers and the spring melt…but down here, it can leave now.
Ah, you have the best of both worlds if you can drive to the snow and then leave it when you’ve had enough. Reminds me a lot of when I did my graduate work in northern New Mexico. 🙂
That’s a beautiful photo, I love the composition !
Thanks so much for stopping by and your encouragement!
Looking at this makes me feel lovely and cool – we are having one of the hottest days on record here in Australia!
Oh, yes, I was reading about the horrible heat wave and subsequent fires you were battling “Down Under” just yesterday. Your comment made me chuckle because I was just thinking about how visitors and photos from South Africa and Australia are awesome because in the summer they remind me that it’s winter there (and how lucky I am), and I now know for sure that we can reciprocate in some fashion. Be safe. Stay cool. And thanks for stopping by!
Love this photo. Reminds me of winter’s growin up in northern Illinois.
Thanks, Renee! I’m glad it brings back good memories. I hope you are warmer than I was when I took this photo, where ever you are! 🙂
Definitely warmer here. We live in Southern California! My Dad declares any temp under 60 degrees to be freezing!!
That sounds like my parents! They have retired in the southern most part of New Mexico so for them that IS cold. 🙂
So pretty 😀
