In my 2013:  A Look Ahead post, I mentioned that one of the things I need to work on in 2013 is more regular, consistent exercise.  It seems like, with every year that passes, it gets a little harder to maintain my weight.

Rule #1 of  The Skinny Rules is to drink plenty of water.  While I feel like I’ve always drunk plenty of water, I’m making an extra effort to down a full glass of ice water every hour, especially before sitting down for a meal.  Here’s a fresh glass of ice water in one of my favorite glasses, a favorite because it reminds me of France.

  1. Oh yeah… Im bad about drinking enough water lol! I love this view of the water 🙂

    • It is helping me keep a “full” feeling more of the day so I snack less and am happy with smaller portions at meals. I only have five to ten pounds to lose, but man it’s harder and harder to do that each year!
