A Cupcake in the Hand…

…is Better than Two in the Bakery Box!

I loved this photograph of hands holding a star Christmas ornament over at HelenOgraphy’s blog and was inspired to try a similar shot.  Since the Christmas decorations were already put away, I had to find another worthy object to be held in my oldest daughter‘s hand.  Lucky for me we had just purchased some cupcakes.

My shots are nowhere near as amazing as Helen’s, but I thought they weren’t bad for a first go.  What do you think?  Do you have a preference between the black and white and the partial color versions below?

  1. Partial colour one for me. But then again, I’m a big fan of selective colour !

  4. Nice shots 🙂 Glad to be of inspiration 🙂 🙂 I think the b&w is my fave. There are still a lot of different shades captured even without the colour.
