Approaching Full Moon
Nothing in the natural world can fill me with as much calm and awe as a full moon. Taking a gorgeous shot of the full moon is on my bucket list. Despite taking photography classes this year, I think it’s going to take a better camera with a better lens before I can achieve this feat. That said, this shot is better than some of my previous attempts.
I dream of a day that I can manage a shot of the moon like:

- The Midday Moon by Rich McPeek, and
- This one by Alastair

Thank you for linking to my photo. You CAN take a photo like my one. Anyone who has a tripod and a camera capable of shooting at f 5.6 and shutter speed 1/800 can do it 🙂
Maybe I’ll give it another go with a tripod and these setting recommendations tonight.
I look forward to seeing it 🙂
Ugh! I’m so bummed. It’s super cloudy here tonight. Maybe tomorrow…
Thanks for mentioning my blog. If you have a spot meter on your camera, spot meter the moon you get the clarity of the moon. I look forward to seeing your results.
I will give that a try. I can hardly wait for nightfall tonight! 🙂

Wow that moon is so bright for the sun to still be out! Looks awesome 😀
I received lots of tips for next time. Now I just need it to stop being cloudy/snowing before the moon is a sliver or I’ll have to wait a whole month to try it again! 🙂
YAY!! Can’t wait to see them 😀
It may not be perfect, but it sure is beautiful 🙂 Well done.
Thanks for your encouragement, Inga.
