In my 2013:  A Look Ahead post, I mentioned that one of the things I need to work on in 2013 is more regular, consistent exercise.  It seems like, with every year that passes, it gets a little harder to maintain my weight.

Rule #8 of  The Skinny Rules is to learn how to read food labels so you know what you’re eating.  Sage advice.  It’s why we switched to peanut butter made from only peanuts and sea salt years ago and are now replacing the survivalist size container of Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup purchased from Costco eons ago with pure maple syrup.  Bye bye high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, and other ingredients I can’t pronounce!  Hello natural topping on my whole wheat with wheat germ pancakes!

  1. I only eat 100% real maple syrup the sad thing is the rest of my family prefers Mrs. Butterworth…even sadder is I am glad they leave my syrup alone but I will discuss again the dangers of corn syrup with them and not be so selfish 😉
