One Thing, Three Ways: Along the Tracks
The trails of Mill Creek Streamway Park run more than 17 miles from Nelson Island on the Kansas River to the city of Olathe. Much of the trail borders either Mill Creek or the railroad tracks. A portion of the trail not far from the 87th Street Parkway access has the best access to some of the prettiest parts of the railroad tracks. Here are three of my favorite shots from along the tracks.
What do you think? Do you have a favorite below?
Along the Tracks Photo #1. Partial color of my middle daughter walking along the track.
Along the Tracks Photo #2. A spike laying along the track.
Along the Tracks Photo #3. My middle daughter using the train track as a balance beam.

It’s difficult with these as they are all good. I suppose … the last one
My middle daughter model says thanks! 🙂
My favorite is the first one. But I like them all.
That’s my favorite, too! I really liked how the lighting was in that shot.
Hmm I like both the 1st and 3rd 🙂 Very fun!
Carrie and I had a fun time along the tracks.
I think the third one.
Thank you! This photo from a fellow photoblogger inspired the last shot: http://thehourofsoftlight.wordpress.com/2013/01/05/it-will-lead-where-it-will-lead/
I love the first shot…the color and loop of those laces in contrast to the linear tracks…a sense of metaphorical journey…LOVE it! And I’m so synch’d w/you on the Muse hanging out along the railroad tracks…isn’t She a vagabond? Thanks for the plug. 🙂
My favourite is the first one because of the great composition, but they’re all fab. 🙂
I like that one best, too. There was something about the lighting that I really loved when I looked at it.
My favorite is the first, but they are all well done.
The first is my favorite, too. It’s something about the lighting, the composition, I’m not exactly sure what, but I love it.
Love the spike! And the concept. Have to try it myself,
If you do, be sure to share the pics! 🙂
Loving the first one. Great fun and great composition.
Thanks! I think that’s my favorite, too.
Number 1 is my favorite 🙂
Thanks! Mine, too.
Great shots ! I really like the first and last one. I like the point of view of the last one and the originality of the first one 🙂
