At the historic Hotel Phillips, where Harry S. Truman once ran the haberdashery, my daughter participated in model castings for the Fall 2013 Kansas City Fashion Week this afternoon.  I wanted to empower her to do this by herself, but needed to remain close since she is a minor.  From where I waited across the atrium, she could catch my eye if she needed me, and I had plenty of people watching to keep me busy as all of the other models came and went.  This is a shot of the statue and KCFW banner that greeted the models as they climbed the stairs to the second floor.

Hopefully Gigi will receive good news in the next week or two.  Kansas City Fashion Week Fall 2013 will take place October 2nd through October 6th at Union Station.
