One Thing, Three Ways: Strawberries
Last year I added a berry patch to my garden. The blueberries didn’t survive the intense heat and drought of last summer, but after painstakingly pinching off all of the buds from the strawberries (as is required in the first year) they are producing some amazing fruit this year.
This “One Thing, Three Ways” post shows them in three different phases: flower, green berry, and fully ripened berry. What do you think? Do you have a favorite below?
Strawberry Photo #1. White flowers with golden centers.
Strawberry Photo #2. Green fruit waiting to ripen in the early summer sun.

The middle one is my fav! Such a gorgeous close up 🙂
Thanks so much for your encouragement!
mmm strawberries are delicious!
Yesterday’s harvest was the best one yet this season!
Love the different take to the second strawberry image! What type of lens did you use?
Thanks! My camera is pretty basic and doesn’t allow me to change out lenses, so it was just the built in lens in extreme close-up mode. 🙂
I’m a sucker for flowers, so it’s got to be the first one. 🙂
I must have taken 100 shots to find a strawberry flower pic that I didn’t hate. They were tricky little buggers to capture!
Hehe I imagine
I love #2 – such a different way of looking at strawberries!
I look at it and sense anticipation of the delish, ripe fruit to come!
#2 is unusual and wonderful
Not yet ready, not yet ready…
I look at it and sense anticipation of the delish, ripe fruit to come!
I would have to say No. 2.
Thanks!
These are awesome! I’ve never seen a strawberry like the one in the second shot! Really cool!
Thanks! We’ve had such a mild, pleasant summer that my strawberries are STILL producing!
