Woo Hoo!

I’ve had owl envy for the longest time.  My co-worker tells me about seeing them on his daily trail runs.  Fellow photobloggers like Lindy, Christine, and Mike have posted some amazing owl shots.  I can hear them in the woods behind my house, but haven’t been lucky enough to ever catch a photo of one.

Thank goodness for zoos.

This shot was taken at the amazing Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha a few weeks ago.  I’m a bit distracted by the fence I had to shoot through to take this pic that is still visible around the bird, but all in all, it’s a start.

  2. What a great shot. I was at the zoo recently and it is so hard to deal with the fencing and the reason my owl did not turn out. Wonderful and congrats to you.
