What are you lookin’ at?
There are sooooo many peacocks strutting around the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha. I was certain that with a little patience I’d have no trouble landing a shot like this or this without much effort at all.
I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Apparently peacocks don’t wander around with their feathers on full display. Plus also, the more colorful males appear to be more apprehensive and shy than the females. So after 1,398 minutes stalking peacocks while my four kids rolled their eyes and tried to drag me away, this is the best peacock shot I have to share. Yes, he was hiding in a bush trying to escape the paparazzi me.

Love it, I have one almost like this from our zoo. Love the colors, detail and background.
Thanks so much! I’m still holding out for a shot with full feathers on display! 🙂
Yeah, I also learned the hard way that peacocks don’t walk around with their feathers out lol! But the colors you got are really beautiful 🙂 Love that face!
