There are sooooo many peacocks strutting around the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha.  I was certain that with a little patience I’d have no trouble landing a shot like this or this without much effort at all.

I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Apparently peacocks don’t wander around with their feathers on full display.  Plus also, the more colorful males appear to be more apprehensive and shy than the females. So after 1,398 minutes stalking peacocks while my four kids rolled their eyes and tried to drag me away, this is the best peacock shot I have to share.  Yes, he was hiding in a bush trying to escape the paparazzi me.
