State Line

Before starting on the three hour drive south to home, we made one final stop in Omaha:  the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge.  The footbridge connects Omaha, Nebraska to Council Bluffs, Iowa over the Missouri River and reminds me a bit of the Millennium Bridge in London.

It had been a long, hot day at the zoo, and my youngest daughter was tired of walking.  I’ve seen so many amazing shots of this bridge at sunrise, sunset, and at night.  I’d love to get a second chance to shoot it, especially because this is really the only shot I was able to sneak in around tired, grumpy kids and an uncooperative sun.

  1. So it is literally a state line. How cool is that

      • did you keep stepping from one to the other?

      • Ha! No, but only because I live in a city that spans a state line and I’ve grown immune to it. In Kansas City, we actually have a road called State Line Road that is literally the state line with Kansas to the west and Missouri to the east.

  2. Great! Love the focus. 🙂
