“You rarely get satisfaction sitting in an easy chair.  If you work in a garden on the other hand, and it yields beautiful tomatoes, that’s a good feeling.”
~ Dan Buettner

As a reward for surviving last year’s oppressively hot, dry summer, Mother Nature delivered a nearly perfect summer this year.  There were only a few days above 90F, hardly any humidity, and just the right amount of rain.  It was the perfect summer for a garden, and I have the most amazing tomatoes to show for it!  My goal is to be so sick of caprese salad by the time that the tomatoes are done that I don’t crave it again until next year’s vine-ripened, organically-grown tomatoes are ready for the eating.

  2. Nothing like them. I had a really good crop this year in my greenhouse. Delicious and nothing like the supermarket variety! 🙂
