Acorn in Hand

While I’m sad that fall means that winter is just around the corner, there are few more beautiful times to go for a trail walk than right now.  My daughter and I enjoyed crunching through the crisp, colorful leaves, collecting acorns, and watching a very photogenic squirrel plan ahead.

    • I don’t know about you, but I’d never seen a nut with such a fun, ruffly “hat” before. That was pretty cool, even if snow is around the corner.

  2. Such a great shot! I myself love the changing of the seasons. I love autumn, but I do love winter too. 🙂

    • I wouldn’t want to give up the four seasons, but it would be nice if the hots and colds weren’t so extreme where I live.
