Along Came a Spider

In honor of Halloween, here is a photo of a big spider that plopped down right in front of me on a trail walk at Lake Lenexa the other day.  He was about the size of a quarter or Euro, and was busy spinning a very elaborate web.  Good thing I’m not afraid of spiders.  Now mice, that’s another story…

  1. Wonderful capture. I would have screamed. I hate spiders . . . especially big ones like this. 🙂

    • There were two moms with four little girls between them that encountered this spider about ten minutes after I’d photographed it. Let’s just say there was quite a bit of screaming behind me on the trail.
