Next door to the abandoned Apache Motel is Kix on 66, a delightful diner with fresh, reasonably priced food.  We stopped in for breakfast, coffee, and hot chocolate, and it delivered on the rave reviews provided on Yelp, Urban Spoon, and Trip Advisor.
