As we continued along Route 66 toward Phoenix, the weather finally grew intermittently better.  It was still 30 to 40 degrees cooler than usual and overcast, but in a few places the snow subsided.  Here are a few more images from along Route 66.

What do you think?  Do you have a favorite below?

The Route Photo #1.  A section of the original Route 66 runs through the Petrified National Forest Park with a 1932 Studebaker on display.

The Route Photo #2.  Along the same patch of Route 66 in the Petrified Forest National Park is this additional marker (complete with snow flurries).

The Route 4_edited-1

The Route Photo #3.  It’s not as dramatic as other shots I’ve seen along old Route 66 with mountains looming on the horizon, but it was the first shot of the open road that didn’t include snow and that had a bit of sun finally peeking through.
