One Thing, Three Ways: Petrified Forest National Park
We took our time driving the Petrified Forest National Park trail, stopping at the Painted Desert Inn, standing on an original stretch of Route 66, and photographing the Painted Desert. At long last, we started seeing petrified wood.
Below are three shots of petrified wood at the Petrified Forest National Park, although I could probably also use the “Close, Closer, Closest” concept for naming this blog post. What do you think? Do you have a favorite below?
Petrified Wood Photo #1. Perched atop a rock formation, this was the first glimpse of petrified wood we saw on our visit.
Petrified Wood Photo #2. I think this shot was taken in the Crystal Forest.
Petrified Wood Photo #3. And a close-up shot of wood that has turned to stone (or more specifically, quartz).

I think I agree with you. It seems to be the right distance/detail of the three.
Fantastic! The first one is my favourite 🙂
Thanks for your feedback, Inga!
So cool!! I think I like the last one best 🙂 Really shows it well
