Of all the things to do and see in the desert metropolis of Phoenix, The Children’s Museum is one of our favorites.  From the three story, surprised-filled jungle gym to the pizza parlor, from the pool noodle forest to the interactive grocery store, it’s quite a fun time.  I think my older kids are happy to have a seven-year-old sister to use as an excuse to jump in and play, too!

Here are three photos from the Children’s Museum of Phoenix.  What do you think?  Do you have a favorite below?

Children’s Museum Photo #1.  The three story wall adjacent to the large jungle gym is adorned with hundreds of old CDs that have been decorated by children and then strung on clear string.

Children’s Museum Photo #2.  On the outside of one side of the jungle gym is a flying boat with these legs hanging out that reminds me of something from Pippi Longstocking.

Children’s Museum Photo #3.  The wall by the toddler play area has hundreds of old shoes — big shoes, little shoes, men’s shoes, women’s shoes — that have been mounted floor to ceiling and covered with a sealant.  Every once in a while there is a surprise like the pink on this sandal.
