I AMsterdam Early in the Morning
If you get up early enough in the morning, especially on a Sunday morning when most people are barely falling asleep from Saturday night’s festivities, the I AMsterdam sign by the Rijksmuseum is a lot less crowded with tourists than the other times I’ve visited it.
I didn’t have my tripod with me, and I think this photo is a bit grainy. I hope my third trip to this spot, whenever that happens, will be the charm!

I was there before and it was impossible to take a picture of the sign without having some people in it!
I know! The secret is to be up at dawn on a Sunday morning after you heard people partying in the streets until 4am (or later) the night before! 🙂
