One Thing, Three Ways: Alcatraz
Home to the oldest lighthouse on the West Coast and an abandoned prison, Alcatraz Island is now managed by the National Park Service. Each year, more than 1.3 million people visit “The Rock”, the federal penitentiary that once housed America’s most notorious criminals.
Here are three shots of Alcatraz from my August trip to San Francisco. What do you think? Do you have a favorite below?
Alcatraz Photo #1. I think I took this shot from the base of the Coit Tower.
Alcatraz Photo #2. Warning sign approaching the island.
Alcatraz Photo #3. Rowers practicing in the Bay.
On Today’s Date in the Past:
Definitely #1.
I like both no 1 and 2. Happy New Year to you. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. 😊
Happy New Year, Inga!
