Cardinal

At long last, I’ve managed to capture a halfway decent shot of a cardinal.  I know this won’t be the best photo of a cardinal you’ve ever seen, but I’m so excited to start with this shot.  I’m not sure if it’s the same bird, or not, but a male cardinal has been spending an awful lot of time singing his heart out in two small trees on the west side of my house.  One of the trees has a nest that’s visible while all of the branches are still bare.  I’m hopeful he will woo a female and that there will be eggs and babies to watch for as spring approaches!
