The Konza Prairie is an 8,600 acre preserve of the largest remaining unplowed, native tallgrass prairie in North America in the Flint Hills of Kansas.  It is home to a variety of species including more than 500 plants, 30 mammals, 200 birds, 30 reptiles and amphibians, and 20 types of fish.  A herd of bison is maintained on the prairie.
