While San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf is well known to locals and tourists alike, the shops and restaurants in the Ferry Building are a little less frequented by tourists. One of the restaurants I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this trip was Hog Island Oyster Company. In fact, my raw oysters and clam chowder were so good at lunch that I went back again for dinner for the mussels!

Hog Island Oyster Company Photo #2. There were six types of raw oysters, so I a half dozen so I could have one of each!

Hog Island Oyster Company Photo #3. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had amazing clam chowder at Fisherman’s Wharf, but this may have been the best ever in my entire life!
