After exploring the prairie behind a local elementary school with a few friends, my daughter suggested we go on a hike there together. This shot was from the first of many abandoned structures we encountered along the way.

After a Royals game for Father’s Day, we decided to take in a T-Bones game over the Fourth of July weekend.  

A few weeks ago, on a blisteringly hot day, my daughter saw a tiny, Himalayan kitten scurrying along a street where new homes were being built. Her fur was matted, and she was dehydrated.  But after a bath and some fluids, she bounced to life and has brought such life to our household.

As the Twinners start their senior year of college, we’ve made several trips to Kansas State in Manhattan recently.  In addition to visiting Varsity Donuts in Aggieville, they always have to stop in at The Dusty Bookshelf to say hello to the cat.
